چکیده

The widespread industrial use and consequent release of nanosized iron (nFe3O4) zinc oxide (nZnO) particles into the environment have raised concerns over their effects on living organisms, including plants. These nanoparticles are source respective metal ions although plants require both Fe Zn for proper growth, excessive levels these metals toxic to them. A better understanding also offers an opportunity useful applications in agriculture. present work evaluates changes seed germination, plant photosynthetic capacity, biomolecules antioxidant enzymes Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek when grown presence nFe3O4 (size 1–4 nm) nZnO 10–20 compared control were hydroponically up 14 days at two different concentrations nanoparticles, viz. 10 100 mg/L. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) results established that V. can accumulate shoots with high efficiency. indicated had a favourable effect radiata, whereas no apparent benefit or toxicity was observed tested concentrations.

Arsenic Induced Changes in Growth and Physiological Responses in Vigna radiata Seedling: Effect of Curcumin Interaction

Arsenic is a great hazard to the environment since it is a major source of soil and water contamination leading to phytotoxicity. Arsenic caused reduction in seed germination and growth of plants including mung bean (Vigna radiata) causing loss of crop productivity. This investigation evaluates effect of arsenic toxicity in mung bean with an attempt to ameliorate it by the application of curcum...

Effect of nano iron and Magnesium chelate fertilizers on on Growth and Grain Yield of Vigna sinensis L.

In order to evaluate the effect of foliar application of iron and magnesium nano-chelate fertilizers on morphophysiological characteristics of Vigna sinensis L., an experiment was conducted in Shahroud University of Technology in 2010-2011. The experiment was carried out in a factorial arrangement with randomized complete block design with three replications. Treatments included five levels of ...

Changes in Some Physiological Traits and Fatty Acids Profile of Safflower with Application of Nano-Silicone, Nano-Titanium and Nano-Zinc in Different Moisture Conditions

Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) is a multipurpose plant; since its seeds contain multi-saturated fatty acids it is grown as an oilseed plant. Drought stress at late season, reduces both seed yield and quality. On the other hand, the use of nanoparticles due to their high contact surfaces can reduce the effects of environmental stresses. Hence, the present study was carried out to investigat...

In Vitro Comparative Skin Irritation Induced by Nano and Non-Nano Zinc Oxide

This study was designed to determine whether nano-sized ZnO has the potential to cause acute cutaneous irritation using cultured HaCaT keratinocytes and a human skin equivalent as in vitro models, compared to non-nanomaterials. Commercial nano ZnO with different sizes (50 nm and 100 nm) was characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and microscopy (SEM) in different media. Nano ZnO reduced...
